I went to Copenhagen on a short trip last fall and really enjoyed the city. The food at Kødbyens Fiskebar was just amazing. It's a great city for wandering and café sitting. Here is what I saw: http://smallsight.wordpress.com/2011/10/18/in-copenhagen/ Enjoy Copenhagen!
thank you! that Fiskebar food looks amazing indeed!
ive never been to copenhaguen so unfortunately i have no tips to share... but i'd really love to see the pictures of your trip:) i cant wait to visit it!
I was lucky enough to be an exchange student in Copenhagen for a year and boy is the city charming! Here are some places I recommend. The Royal Cafe for smushi: http://www.theroyalcafe.dk/The Laundromat Cafe for brunch (I used to work here, but I still visit it when I am in town for the food):http://www.thelaundromatcafe.com/enCafé Salonen for lunch or a beer (or even a haircut!)If you only go to one place go to Kalaset. It has the best brunch and the best burgers. Across the street is a very quirky and charming bar called Bankerat. http://copenhagen.unlike.net/locations/300923-Kalasethttp://www.bankeraat.dk/Very delicious, but very expensive cocktails: http://www.k-bar.dk/More cocktails: http://www.karrierebar.com/ (Karriere Bar is in the Meatpacking District which is worth checking out). And the very charming modern art museum outside of the city: http://www.louisiana.dk/dk Bon voyage!
@ Annelies: het Louisiana museum stond als zeker op ons lijstje. Ik hoorde van Rienk dat jullie die stad helemaal geweldig vonden, dus dank voor de tips!! Ik check zeker die ene straat.
We visited Copenhagen in summer last year. And fell in love with it. We could see ourselves living there very easily. Walks along the waterfront. There was a typography shop that I didn't get to in business hours in Vesterbro that I think is still there https://playtype.com/about/contactMy husband's favourite brewer is also in Vesterbro area - Mikkeller Brewery http://www.lucentimagery.com/index.php/2011/09/16/mikkeller-brewery-copenhagen/Have fun!
So nice to hear you will come here for a visit! Copenhagen is a lovely city, I'm sure you will enjoy it. I've blogged about my life here for a few years now, so I suggest you take look at my blog for ideas :)
Hi Sophie, you will LOVE Copenhagen, it is soooo pretty and charming with all its bike and friendly people I really liked to stroll around Istegade, which is right behind the central station, there are a couple of cute vintage shops/furniture shops...there are also some dodgy red light district shops though...but in between you can find great stuff. I also would highly recommend going to >HAY (www.hay.dk)>Liebeshop liebeshop.dk>Lousiana the museum which is a bit out of the city. SO worth to go>Henrik vibskov/wood wood are in a great little street (Krystalgade) with nice shops>Stilleben www.stilleben.dk/ for beautiful ceramic.....get some Kawasaki shoes they are so cheap there and super comfy! :)
wij waren er ook vorige zomer en eigenlijk staan hierboven al ongeveer alle tips die ik ook wou geven, maar 1 tip: huur een fiets! :-)
+ bezoek het huis van Finn Juhl! klein maar fijn!
hiii everyone, thank you so much for sharing! I'm excited:-)
Bang & Jensen is my favourite bar/café/restaurant since 2002! It's cosy and relaxed and has lots of cross stitch fishermen pictures. It's a 5-10 min walk from the station, on Istedgade. Here's the page, but it doesn't do it justice: http://blog.bangogjensen.dk/The little design/vintage shops around St Hans Torv are really cute too!
hello! lucky you, cph is just a fantastic city! the vintage-shops are great, one of my favorite is PRAG at vesterbrogade 98. vesterbro is lovely part of the city all together, and the street istedgade (on vesterbro) is one of my favorite! (except the beginning, with all the porn-shops..:/)hope you'll have a nice stay there!
Copenhagen is an amazing place! Check out Frederiksberg Have or Dyrehaven (a train ride out of the city) if you're looking for a nice stroll. Louisiana has an amazing exhibition on right now with Andreas Gursky, which is probably one of the most amazing shows I have seen. And the museum is beautiful as well, with a lovely cafe. Bredgade is the street where a lot of galleries keep house in the city. Bankeråt, as somebody mentioned below, is a fantastical world for a good beer or sunday brunch. The Nørrebro area of the town is filled with boutiques and good cafes. Elmegade is where the Laundromat cafe is, but check out Blågaardsgade, it has some really fun pubs and a vegetarian cafe called Cafe N that serves up tasty juices and delicious breakfasts. If you're looking for a place to go dancing or mingle with the Copenhagen crowd, Drone is the place to go. It's quite far up in the north end of town, but its worth the trip. Another Nue is a great store in the centre of town with a plethora of lovely labels, you have Henrik Vibskov right across the street (worth a look), and general shopping and Strøget close by.Enjoy your stay!Hope this helped :)
yeah! I can't wait to hop on a Danish bike and explore that city, thanks again for the great tips!!
Looks like a beautiful place. xxx
That sounds incredible! I've never been but I trust it will be wonderful. xxx
I might be too late, but I am so jealous! Book stores, galleries, cafes, cheese store... everything you could ever want! Elmegade and Blågårdsgade in Nørrebro are great, as is Studiestræde area of Indre By. Nansensgade is also a great street. Art Rebels is really cool, but I'm not sure if their shopfront is still at Kødboderne 18? Maybe? There are lots of great places in the meatpacking district...I think my favourite museum is the Ny Carlsberg Glyptoteket, although Statens Museum for Kunst, The Architecture Centre in Christianshavn and the Black Diamond's exhibitions have never failed me.enjoy! xx
so glad to have stumbled upon your blog. its full of inspirations and the photography is wonderful.you have a new admirer.warm greetings!leyla.
Hej! You should really go to the café called Grød at Jægersborggade 50 in the Nørrebro area. The name means porridge in danish, and that's exactly what they serve! Such a nice place :)
so envious!take a thousand photos, please.
if you like vegetarian food you should try RizRaz (rizraz.dk), they have a great buffet with a lot of options.
@ Mailin; great thanks!! i love your tumblr

For the best gelato/sorbet, go to Paradis. The strawberry/jordbaer is my favorite and I really miss it.

Hello, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam feedback? If so how do you reduce it, any plugin or anything you can recommend?I get so much lately it's driving me crazy so any assistance is very much appreciated. My web site - short term loans
Having read this I thought it was rather enlightening.I appreciate you spending some time and energy to put this information together.I once again find myself spending a significant amount of time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still worthwhile! Here is my weblog :: "projective"
However, there are plenty involving predators internet. Erectile people plus monetary people. Beware involving scammers plus fraudsters. There are people internet that earn an income outside of conning people by way of pretending cheap coach backpacks to be desperate for money and asking for help or wanting to meet up to get a visa or passport.Long distance relationships can seem very romantic. Think carefully about meeting anyone who lives a long way away. It may look very romantic and exciting now but will it still seem like that when the date is over and they are hundreds of miles away? By no means meet up with a fully innovative man in a very peaceful unpoopulated region. Constantly meet up with in a very court position. Notify anyone you are able to rely on plus count on wherever that you're likely plus you should get your cell phone http://coachfactoryhandbag3e.webs.com/ phone on you. Tell them you will let them know when you return home. You may well think it is a good idea to meet for a drink the first time so that you do not lose a whole evening to what might be a wasted and pointless meet. Think outside the box. People now meet up for a drink during their lunch hour when it is a first meet and then perhaps arrange a much longer meet when they are more sure of the person. Others meet for a drink after work and then go on to a whole evening with a http://ccoachonlineoutlet.com/ trusted friend after. Serial daters can fit in dozens of first meets in a week! I find out a lot more about them BEFORE meeting and only meet a few that I know I will not regret meeting. This is how to meet a date online.
